Parenting with PTSD book release

Trigger Points Anthology has been re-released as Parenting with PTSD: the impact of childhood abuse on parenting and the Kindle version is available for free on Amazon today! The listed price is $0 so you don’t need to subscribe to Kindle Unlimited to purchase it for free.

Words cannot express how amazing this book is. The stories told by parents/survivors are raw, honest and insightful. If you are an abuse survivor/parent or know someone who is, this book will help you make sense of the unique challenges survivors face while parenting.

I’m proud to be a contributing author.

  2. I picked up the Kindle edition a while back but haven’t read it. I’ll have to check out your contribution.

What’s funny is, I never thought of myself as having been abused until I was in my late 30’s and saw a counselor for weight issues. She was the first person to give me any sort of perspective that began my healing journey. I now see that before I could even begin to heal, I had to realize how dysfunctional my family was. And it wasn’t until this past year that I’ve been able to see how my carrying scars from my childhood affected my parenting (thanks largely to a blog post I read on their site).

    • It took me a really long time to give what happened to me a name too. I was in my 30s before I thought of it as molestation and it wasn’t until my early 40s (after I became a parent) that I realized how much it affected my entire life. I feel like I’m armed with knowledge now and it definitely helps me be a more relaxed and loving parent. And I feel more compassion toward myself too.

The new version has some updates so get it if you can!
